"Beaver Country"
De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver

The De Havilland Beaver is a classic wild-country floatplane. It has an immensely tough high-wing airframe with a capacious cabin, and is powered by a rugged and dependable radial engine. The prototype Beaver made its first flight in 1947 with more than 1700 produced thru 1965.

DHC-2 Beavers, like the one in this painting, have been plying their trade over the lakes, forest and mountains of Canada’s northern wilderness and other countries for over fifty years.
